The gym is still cold, first series of lateral movements, the ball passing from hand to hand: it's the time when women's volley trousers do their job, keeping the legs warm until the body is ready to jump.
Track pants, leggings and shorts fill the page, in women's cuts and junior sizes.
Jogging is the most varied category. They are worn when arriving at the gym, during warm-ups, and while sitting on the bench, then taken off before stepping onto the court. Models made of technical fabric are lightweight and dry quickly, while those in cotton, which are softer, are suitable for travel and recovery. A tapered design at the ankle prevents the trousers from dragging during movement.
A women's trouser is cut closer to the hips, with a often higher waist and an appropriate length. An elastic waistband with a drawstring allows for adjustment without being too tight. For taller players, check the inseam length on the product sheet guide, as volley has many taller sizes.
For physical preparation, stretching, or an outdoor session, leggings follow every movement and don't restrict bending. Shorts, which are shorter, are worn under the match shorts. Both categories can be paired with jogging based on the temperature in the gym.
Several brands share the page. Errea offers the Giorgia jogging, designed for young girls. Hummel provides its hmlCIMA joggers, the cotton Move Grid trousers, and the Root in softer tones. Mizuno stands out with a merino wool legging. Kempa features its women's jogging Core and STMNT, while Erima and Joma complete the offering.
For a warm-up outfit, pair your trousers with a jacket from the women's jackets and tracksuits page or a sweatshirt from the women's sweatshirts page. The more technical leggings are also available on the women's baselayers page. All women's textiles can be found on the women's textile page.
Team joggings change colours from one collection to another, and older colours go through the women's clearance. The women's sales and special textile offers are other options.
During training, some players do, especially in a cold gym. In matches, the outfit is decided by the club, usually a pair of shorts. Trousers remain the piece for warming up and sitting on the bench.
Cotton is soft and comfy for travel, but it retains moisture after exercise. Technical fabric dries faster and is better for warming up. Many players have one of each model.
Take your inseam length and refer it to the size chart. A tapered bottom allows for a slightly longer length. A trouser that is too short lets cold air in at the ankle.
Sometimes, if the measurements match. However, the junior fit is less fitted at the waist and hips. Compare both size guides before deciding.
Wash it inside out, at a moderate temperature, closing the zip pockets. Avoid the tumble dryer, which distorts the elastic waistband. Hang it to dry by the waist.
