Between the V5M5000 for major indoor matches and the V5B1300 Breizh, a beach ball named in honour of Brittany, the Christmas Molten balls offer two very different ways to please a volleyball player.
In the middle, match balls for the club, a training ball and lighter models for young players, sold individually or in sets.
The V5M5000 is Molten's top-of-the-line for indoors. Its Flistatec surface, designed for stable flight, gives it a consistent trajectory. It is approved by the FIVB, and the version on this page has LNV in its name, which stands for the National Volleyball League. For a club player, it's the most significant gift in the selection.
For club matches, these two models take over in Molten's competition range. Check the details of each to see the competitions where they are used. The V5M4500 comes deflated: include a pump with the package.
The V5M3500 is a training ball, suitable for both gym and outdoor use. For children, Molten offers lighter balls: the V5M2000-L for initiation, the V5M2501-L with a very soft touch for forearms, and the V5C1400-L. They remain size 5, but with a lighter weight, making it easier for beginners to perform high passes.
For beach volleyball, the V5B5000 is certified by the FIVB and made for regular use, resistant to sand and moisture. The V5B1500 and V5B8R complete the offering. The V5B1300, made of sewn PVC with a butyl bladder that holds pressure, is aimed at leisure use: camping, gardens or beaches. Its Breizh version will bring a smile to a Breton player or a lover of Brittany under the Christmas tree.
Most models on this page are also sold in lots, from the V5M5000 to junior balls, and up to the V5B1300 Breizh for the beach. For a club, a volleyball school, or a beach association, it's a way to have identical balls for the whole group and maintain the same feel from one session to the next. Competition balls are then reserved for matches, while the others are for drills.
For comparison, the Mikasa balls provide for international competitions from the FIVB, the Wilson balls serve American professional beach, and the Nike balls focus on versatility. The Errea balls round out the selection, and all brands are featured on the Christmas balls page.
During the event, the Christmas special offers showcase discounts, and the ball special offers remain available all year round. Once the holiday celebrations are over, the ball sales take over. In a hurry? The balls dispatched in 24 hours are ready to go.
Training and leisure balls generally cost less than an approved match ball. For a discounted competition ball, check the Christmas special offers, and then the sales after the holidays.
If their club plays with Molten, gift them the model used in their matches: the product sheet indicates which competitions each ball is certified for. Ask a teammate discreetly to avoid spoiling the surprise.
LNV stands for the National Volleyball League, which organizes the professional championship in France. The V5M5000 on this page features this label in its name, and it remains FIVB approved.
The V5M3500 is designed for both gym and outdoor use. Competition balls, however, are reserved for the indoor court: a rough surface quickly wears down their coating. For the beach, choose a beach ball like the V5B1300.
A lighter ball like the V5M2000-L, designed for initiation, or the V5M2501-L, with a very soft touch. They maintain the size of an adult ball but require less force, making the first passes easier. The junior age filter on the page isolates them.
